C&M Golf and Grounds is Jacobsen Dealer of the Year

(3/12/2010)

C&M Golf and Grounds is the Jacobsen Dealer of the Year for 2009. The Waco, TX-based business won the Charlotte-based turf equipment manufacturer’s most prestigious accolade, adding conquest business across their territory and having one of the highest customer retention rates of any Jacobsen dealer. Jacobsen is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

The awards ceremony was held at the Stingaree restaurant in downtown San Diego on the eve of the GIS Show in February, where the Jacobsen dealer network had assembled for their annual meeting and awards event.

Presenting the award to Jeff Mathis and his team, Jacobsen’s president Dan Wilkinson said,

“Throughout 2009 C&M has stepped up to the plate to ensure excellence in customer service. Jeff has developed personal relationships with key customers and is one of the best customer driven dealer principals we have. Their parts sales have grown year over year and they appreciate the critical importance of after sales service.”

The Steven Willand organization of Brookfield, CT won Customer Care Dealer of the Year for their exemplary level of customer service and attention to detail through every part of the sales and after sales process, while John Carr, a mechanic at Wilfred MacDonald Inc, of South Hackensack, NJ was presented with the Technician of the Year award.

The Mikuni Corporation in Japan won the Asia Pacific Distributor award and the Outstanding Service award went to Philippines distributor, Formost Turf Equipment Inc.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of individual Pace Setter awards to Nick Willis of Tri-State Pumps & Controls, Rich Vining of Turfwerks and Mike Diaz of Golf Ventures West.
